There were no marketing dollars, and we needed the campaign. I told my team, “We need to flex and think outside the box.” I came up with the idea to team up with partners who will pay for most of the event in exchange for brand exposure. It was a new way, and the team made it happen. Flexibility is a vital trait that distinguishes exceptional leaders.
